December 1, 2014, The Oregonian -- Childhood sex abuse lawyer Irwin Zalkin has filed another civil lawsuit against the Watchtower and a local Jehovah's Witnesses congregation in Portland, Oregon. Here is the coverage in the Oregonian with video of the victim, Velicia Alston. “There is a crisis of silence in the Jehovah's Witness organization,” said Irwin Zalkin, one of several attorneys representing Alston and the man. Zalkin described the religious organization as “more concerned about protecting its reputation than it is about protecting its children.”
