About

Lyndsey A. Gallagher is committed to empowering survivors of sexual abuse.

Lyndsey has a long history of championing justice for the marginalized, oppressed, and exploited. She first launched her private practice in 2015 in Westlake, California, in civil and education law, focusing on children with disabilities and mental illness. For over a decade, she fought for educational equality and inclusion at every phase of the special education process – from diagnosis to graduation with the goal of training parent-clients to become effective advocates for their children.

In 2019, Lyndsey joined The Zalkin Law Firm, LLP, in San Diego as co-counsel on a multi-plaintiff action against an authoritarian religious cult. This experience inspired her to focus on trauma-informed representation within the unique and complex framework of cult abuse, setting her apart as a trailblazer in this critical area of advocacy.

By December 2022, Lyndsey’s role with Zalkin expanded to an “Of Counsel” position where she began handling sex abuse cases involving school districts, Title IX violations, bullying, and cyberbullying. Understanding the complexities of special needs children, Lyndsey is a staunch fighter for the most vulnerable among us who are often targets of sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and bullying.

In 2025, Lyndsey joined The Zalkin Law Firm, LLP exclusively dedicating her passion and expertise to all survivors.

A proud graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Lyndsey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society with honors. She later obtained her Juris Doctorate from Santa Barbara College of Law. She holds licenses to practice in the U.S. Southern, Central, and Eastern District Courts. She is an active member of the National Crime Victims Bar Association (NCVBA), the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), the California Attorney Parent Association (CAPCA), the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and was a member of the William L. Inn of Court in Santa Barbara awarded to the top five students in her class.

Lyndsey also serves on the Board of Directors for Raising Hope in Thousand Oaks, supporting foster youth as they transition out of the foster system. Lyndsey also consults with Childhood Matters, an organization dedicated to providing education, advocacy, and support to children suffering from mental illness in the community.
