About
Laura has nearly a decade of legal support experience assisting attorneys with civil litigation at the state, federal, and appellate levels. Her experience spans from intake and pre-litigation case management to post-judgment enforcement. At The Zalkin Law Firm, LLP, Laura focuses on serving survivors of institutional child sexual abuse as they navigate the emotional and logistical complexities of litigation alongside their attorneys.
Laura assists with all aspects of discovery, motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, and trials. She regularly interfaces between clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and judicial officers. Prior to joining the Zalkin team, Laura worked at a boutique personal
injury firm and a national labor and employment firm, where she managed the caseloads and calendars for four attorneys simultaneously.
Laura is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History with a Minor in Professional Writing. She later obtained her Paralegal Certificate from the ABA-approved UCSD Extended Studies Program.
A native San Diegan, Laura enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends. She is also an avid traveler and hobby floral artist.
