Jessica Dent joined The Zalkin Law Firm in 2020 after graduating cum laude from the South Texas College of Law. While in law school, Jessica was active in Moot Court receiving several honors including the Order of Barristers; Order of Scribes; Dean’s Advocacy Service Award. Her Moot Court competition awards included: the Speaker Award at the National Criminal Procedure Tournament, Brief Award and Quarterfinalist at the Andrews Kurth National Tournament, Brief Award and Semi-Finalist at the South Texas Intramural Competition, and a Semi-Finalist at the Rendigs Products Liability Moot Court Competition.
During law school, Jessica worked as a Law Clerk for Berleth & Associates in Houston, TX where she wrote motions and client letters, and managed client accounts and relations. She also served as a Judicial Intern for Magistrate Judge Nancy Johnson where she wrote and edited opinions, and observed court and reviewed cases with Judge Johnson.
Jessica is a Member of the Amicus, the LGBTQ Law Society. She is a 2017 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics.
