Edmond Menchavez

Edmond Menchavez joined The Zalkin Law Firm, LLP firm in 2023. Edmond is an experienced litigator who began his career as a public defender representing indigent defendants in San Diego. He first-chaired 45 jury trials and two bench trials to verdict, as well as one of the few jury trials conducted behind masks and plexiglass during the COVID pandemic shutdown. Switching gears, Edmond went on to work for an AM Law 100 Firm where he advised major automobile manufacturers in complex product liability litigation, including case issues appealed to the California Supreme Court.

Edmond was admitted to the State Bar in California in May 2014. He graduated from Boston College School of Law where he won 1st place in the BC Mock Trial Competition. During law school, Edmond also participated in the Criminal Justice Clinic which integrated prosecution and defense perspectives as a unique feature of the clinical experience.
