John Autolino joined the firm in 2019, bringing over 30 years of distinguished law enforcement experience.
Prior to entering the private sector, John served as a Police Lieutenant and Watch Commander with the Chula Vista Police Department, overseeing a department of more than 260 sworn personnel. Throughout his career, he held numerous leadership roles, including serving as the lead investigator and supervisor of the department’s Crimes of Violence–Homicide Unit, responsible for investigating all homicides and violent crimes within the City of Chula Vista. Under his leadership, the unit implemented innovative investigative techniques that resulted in several high-profile murder convictions.
John was also selected to serve as a Director for the State of California Homicide Investigators Association, representing more than 12,000 active members nationwide. Over the course of his career, he has investigated more than 5,000 cases and is recognized as an expert in interview and interrogation strategies. In addition, he has led numerous training programs focusing on use of
force policy, active shooter protocols, and critical incident response planning.
John’s investigative excellence has been recognized with the Officer of the Year award in both 2009 and 2013 for his outstanding casework and dedication to the field.
