Alfredo Villegas joined The Zalkin Law Firm in 2020 after graduating cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. While in law school, Alfredo served as the President of the La Raza Law Student’s Association and was awarded the 2020 San Diego La Raza Lawyer’s Association Bar Stipend.

During law school, Alfredo also worked as a Certified Legal Intern for the San Diego District Attorney’s Office where he assisted in legal research, answered and argued defense motions, conducted preliminary and evidentiary hearings, and appeared for various felony court proceedings. Alfredo also served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable John A. Houston in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California.

Prior to law school, Alfredo worked with the San Diego District Attorney’s Office as the Executive Assistant to the Director of Community Relations, where he organized community outreach events and public safety presentations. It was Alfredo’s work in the community that inspired him to attend law school with the goal of becoming an advocate for his community and to seek justice for victims.

Alfredo is fluent in Spanish which will be a resource in serving the firm’s diverse base of clients. He received his B.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University in 2016.
