Hearst Television Investigative Unit recently aired a three-part expose series about allegations of child sexual abuse and decades-long cover-ups inside the Jehovah’s Witnesses religious organization in the United States. This blockbuster series chronicles allegations that span states, congregations, and generations and which have been the subject of inquiries by attorneys general offices in at least three states. Irwin Zalkin, one of the leading attorneys representing victims of childhood sexual abuse in the Jehovah's Witnesses, was interviewed in episode one of this series. He discusses his attempts to offer to work with the organization toward change and policies to protect children and how those efforts have been rejected.
