In our experience everyone who becomes involved in the investigation of a potential child molestation claim is very sensitive to the emotional well-being of the child, so there will be law enforcement likely involved.  There will be medical experts likely involved and lawyers involved, all of whom are experienced, all of whom are sensitive to protecting the well being of the child. There will be times when the child will have to be evaluated. There will be questions asked, perhaps some psychological testing administered.  But, again, this is a very sensitive area and the professionals from a judge to the prosecuting attorneys to the lawyers involved in representing the victims all understand how it is important to do this without causing any further damage to the child - that these cases are important.

It's important to protect other children, so if your child was molested or you suspect they were molested, it's important to follow up on that for the well being of your child as well as the protection of other children who might also become victims if something isn't done to stop that perpetrator.
